Up until now…..There has only been two ways for a boater to update his or her GPS unit with artificial reef information.
One way is to scroll through on the GPS with the four way toggle button. First you scroll through to get the right screen up….Then you scroll to the Waypoint name….Then you scroll through the alpha-numerics to put in each letter individually…….Then you scroll to the Lattitude column and enter seven separate digits….then you do the same with the Longitude. And forget it if you have more than a couple to input!
The other way has been to first spend the time typing the information into your home PC or Laptop….then download into the GPS. Less time consuming then the first option, but still a pain.
